Privacy Policy

A directory about respectful software should respect you.

This policy explains how Open Source Alternative Tools handles information when you use this website or contact us. The V1 website does not require an account, does not use advertising trackers, and does not store submission form entries on the website. Search and filters run in your browser against the public catalog.

Tool submissions and contact email

The submission form prepares an email in your own email application. Nothing is sent until you review and send that message to contact@opensourcealternativetools.com. We use the project details, links, and any contact information you choose to include only to assess and verify the submission, maintain the directory, and reply to you when needed.

We do not sell this information or use it for advertising. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a submission. Your email provider's terms also apply to any message you send.

Server logs and future analytics

Basic security and delivery logs may be processed by the hosting provider to operate and protect the site. If privacy-friendly analytics are added later, this page will be updated before activation. We will not build cross-site advertising profiles.

External links

Official websites and source repositories have their own privacy policies. We link directly to them, but do not control their content or data practices.
